Women filmmakers to compete in Resistance Festival

A lineup of ten short-films and documentaries from Iranian female filmmakers are slated to compete in the 15th annual Resistance International Film Festival.

The selected films will be in competition at the national cinema competition section for movies, short-films, and documentaries of the festival.

The works of the women filmmakers include: 'Empty Cartridges' by Somayeh Zakeri Khatir, Razieh Seraji’s 'Silence, Again', 'Fish Lake' by Maryam Dousti, Yasaman Nosrati’s  'Kanjan Cham', 'Mastoureh' by Elham Hadi-Nejad, 'The Fifth House' and 'Thursday' by Rezvaneh Fathi, 'Villa Residents' by Monir Qeidi, 'Orchid in the Fire' by Shokoufeh Goudarzi, and 'Mother' directed by Maria Mavati.

The Resistance International Film Festival (RIFF) is being organized every year by the Revayat Cultural Foundation and the Film Association of the Islamic Revolution and the Sacred Defense in collaboration with other cultural organizations.

The 15th edition of the RIFF will be held on November 26-December 1, 2018, at Felestin Theater Hall in Tehran.
